Who this covers

This policy describes what ORE Counselling ("we", "I") collects through this website, ore.info, and how it is used. It follows British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the standards of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Information shared inside counselling sessions is covered separately by the consent and confidentiality agreement you receive before your first session.

What is collected here

Contact form. When you send an enquiry, we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number, who the enquiry is for, your preferred language, and anything you write in the message box. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing at this stage; there is no need to describe your situation in detail.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, we keep your email address and the date you subscribed. You confirm your subscription by email before anything is sent, and every letter has an unsubscribe link.

Website visits. This site sets no cookies and uses no advertising or social-media trackers. Our hosting provider (Netlify) keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.

How it is used

Enquiry details are used only to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to arrange a first conversation. Newsletter addresses are used only to send the newsletter. Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.

Where it is stored and who can see it

Form submissions are delivered to our email and stored by Netlify. Email is hosted by Microsoft 365. Newsletter addresses are stored by our newsletter provider. Only Jenny Rudnytska, and any ORE clinician assigned to your enquiry, can read your messages.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to counselling are deleted within twelve months. If you become a client, your enquiry becomes part of your clinical record and is retained as required by professional regulations. Newsletter addresses are deleted when you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can ask at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by writing to jenny@ore.info. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any issue.
